I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with credit from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2014. Since graduating, I have been working in private practice with a focus on musculoskeletal conditions, sporting injuries, persistent pain management and have spent some time working with various sports teams.
I practiced for 3 years in Wellington, New Zealand before making the move across the ditch to Brisbane in 2018. I have worked in private practice for 2 years on the north side of Brisbane. I have always had a keen eye on the Sunshine Coast and would love to call it my home someday soon.
I have a keen interest in sports injury management, orthopaedic surgical rehabilitation (pre- and post-operative) and pre- and post-natal support. I use a range of manual therapy skills, dry needling and exercise-based rehab to ensure every client gets the individualised and best care they need to help them get back to functioning pain free and improving their quality of life.
I enjoy getting outside and exploring different places from beaches to markets to mountains. I have a passion for weightlifting and more recently have been shifting my training into a powerlifting focus with the goal to compete. Through my school years I competed as a swimmer and water polo player regionally and nationally in New Zealand. This has given me a personal understanding of the impact, physically and mentally, of pain and injuries and how important it is to get back to feeling 100% as quickly as possible.
