Geoff Villacis – Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist

Biography

Geoff graduated with a BSc Physical therapy in 2013 from P.U.C.E. University in Ecuador and worked in a private clinic for a number of years, using manual therapy and exercise for musculoskeletal injuries like back pain, neck pain, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain, chronic disease, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, Cancer, and sports rehab for amateur and professional athletes.

In 2017 Geoff graduated as an Exercise physiologist from the university of Sydney and incorporated strength training as part of rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries and strength training for older adults in his own clinic.  Geoff is one of the few dual trained Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists in Australia.
Additionally completed a diploma in sports rehabilitation with the Argentina football Association and gained experience working in different sports, from ATP tour, PGA, Parramatta two blues rugby, Ecuador golf federation, climbing, Ironman, cycling and running.

Geoff is also a Vestibular Physiotherapists and treats disorders of the vestibular system (balance) such as BPPV.

Personal Experience

Geoff has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and is currently loving all that it has to offer.

Geoff is a keen golfer, tennis and football player, enjoys the gym and a good coffee.  His experience working with a variety of patients from children to older adults in different environments, allows him to individualize treatments to patients needs, and has an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to obtain the best possible result for patients.
